In June 2022, the England cricket team will travel to the Netherlands to take on the hosts in three One Day Internationals. Postponed from May 2021, the series is part of the inaugural ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, which acts as a qualifying event for the 2023 tournament in India.
Black Opal will be there with our clients to see all the action in beautiful Amsterdam. You can choose a four-day break, taking in the first two ODIs, or stay for the entire week and see all three games. Gladstone Small and David Gower will be on hand to host throughout, so you’ll have exclusive access to expert insight and warm hospitality from these two England cricketing legends.
Each of the ODIs will take place at VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen, a suburb to the south of Amsterdam city centre, and is a rare chance to watch England at such an intimate venue. Of course, Black Opal will arrange your match tickets, transfers to and from the stadium, as well as provide excellently placed seats from which to cheer on the side.
Guests will stay at the chic W Amsterdam. A contemporary luxury hotel, it couldn’t be more central, being just around the corner from Dam Square and the Royal Palace. We’ve also allocated time to explore the city at your leisure, especially for those who are staying for seven nights. Attractions in Amsterdam are diverse and plentiful. The Heineken Experience, canal boat rides, bicycle tours, the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum, and its famous nightlife to name but a few - there really is something for everyone.

1st One-day international – Friday, 17 June, VRA Cricket Ground
2nd One-day international – Sunday, 19 June, VRA Cricket Ground
3rd One-day international – Wednesday, 22 June, VRA Cricket Ground
