Netherlands vs England

May 2022

In May 2022 (postponed from May 2021), the England cricket team will travel to the Netherlands to take on the hosts in a series of three One Day International matches. Black Opal will be there with our clients to see all the action in beautiful Amsterdam. You can choose a four-day break, taking in the first two ODIs, or stay for the week and see all three matches. Gladstone Small and David Gower will be on hand to host throughout the week, so you’ll have exclusive access to expert insight and warm hospitality from these two cricketing legends.

Each of the ODIs will take place at VRA Stadium, Amstelveen; a suburb just outside of Amsterdam. Of course, Black Opal will arrange your transfers to and from the ground, as well as well as excellently placed seats from which to cheer on England.

Guests will stay at the chic W Amsterdam; a contemporary luxury hotel perfectly placed to explore the city. There are plenty of extras planned to augment your experience too, including welcome drinks and hosted meals. See our itinerary section for more details.

We’ve also allocated time to explore the city at your leisure, especially for those who are staying for seven nights. Attractions here are diverse and plentiful. The Heineken Experience, canal boat rides, bicycle tours, the Anne Frank Museum and the Van Gogh Museum - there is something to charm every traveller.

After the cricket, should you want to extend your stay a little longer, our Black Opal travel experts can arrange everything. As always, our tours are fully flexible and can be tailored to your requirements. Just ask.

We are offering both 4-night and 7-night options for this tour combining a luxury Amsterdam city break with the chance to see international cricketing action in style.
