Wandering through the Secret Garden, the kids were captivated by the bold colours and unconventional forms of street art. The distinctive gallery experience offered a unique perspective on the intersection of art and urban life, making it a standout feature of our Amsterdam adventure.

Culinary Delights with an Edge:

Our culinary journey continued with visits to local eateries, echoing the edgy energy found in the street art scene; from hidden cafes to offbeat bistros, we indulged in bold flavours mirroring the gritty charm of Amsterdam's artistic underbelly. It was a culinary adventure that satisfied our taste buds, complementing the unconventional spirit of our explorations.

Wine and Cheese Cruise:

Adding a touch of elegance to our adventure was a mesmerizing canal cruise, courtesy of GetYourGuide, which offered an unhurried exploration of Amsterdam's UNESCO Heritage-listed Golden Age Canals. As we sailed past city highlights as our local skipper regaled us with tales of local history.

We had the option to choose between a standard tour or a deluxe experience featuring unlimited delicious Dutch cheese, wine, and other drinks. Onboard, the ship glided through the Jordaan district, the Skinny Bridge on the Amstel River, and showcased views of the Red-Light District, the former city locks, and the Old Harbour.

The cruise treated us to picturesque sights of the Maritime Museum, the prestigious Gold Bend neighbourhood, and historical landmarks such as the Anne Frank House. Our local guide shared insights about the city, answered our questions, and offered recommendations for things to do and places to eat, for a truly immersive and informative experience.
