Views, views, views - Jacob’s Ladder enjoys its elevated position high above historic St James, floor-to-ceiling glass walls encompass the mesmerising views across False Bay, and picture windows frame the mountain behind.
The villa has been cleverly designed with articulated ceilings and the minimal use of internal walls creating a house that is airy and filled with light, yet furnished to ensure each space is distinctive, welcoming and cosy.
On the upper floor, to the left of the main staircase, is the open lounge, decorated with a soothing palette of blues and maroons whilst to the right is the well-equipped open kitchen and dining room. Surrounded by views, this area is perfect for cooking and entertaining.
As you descend the staircase you will reach another balcony which is shared by the master bedroom and television lounge complete with a Smart TV. Impressive views create a sense of space in the master bedroom which is open to the bathroom allowing guests to enjoy the wonderful sea views whilst relaxing in the bath.
The ground floor comprises two further ensuite bedrooms, each opening onto a convenient kitchenette, and the furnished pool deck. The fourth bedroom is located on the upper floor and has access to the guest cloakroom only.
Jacob’s Ladder is in an excellent location - Cape Town is approximately 25 minutes drive away whilst a number of local beaches and tidal pools are within walking distance, including the iconic beach of St James’ Beach with it’s iconic Victorian-style bathing boxes can be reached by descending 141 granite steps.
Housekeeping is available three days a week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We highly recommend a car whilst staying here to give you the freedom to explore the Cape Peninsula. Black Opal will be happy to organise this as well as any other arrangements to enhance your stay here.
