Experience the incredible country of India, as we watch Test cricket here as well as sightseeing in our free time.
Join Black Opal for the 4th and 5th Tests in the series, as we follow England Men’s cricket team to India in 2024. Hosted by Gladstone Small and the Black Opal team, we’ll attend lively cricket matches across the country in Ranchi and Dharamsala, as well as exploring more along our way, including Mumbai, Shimla and Kolkata.
Our Tour:
Let us take care of all your travel arrangements and luxury accommodation, with exclusive extras along the way. There will be hosted drinks receptions to begin our tour in style in Mumbai, whilst our ‘get together’ events mid-Test will be a great way to reflect on the current play. Before heading home, we’ll also enjoy a farewell dinner with our fellow supporters.
Our dedicated hosts will be present to offer a warm welcome and insight into the cricket as it unfolds, plus there will be ample opportunity to relax and explore on our sightseeing excursions. We can’t wait to see you in incredible India!

On arrival in Mumbai, you will be met and transferred to the Taj Hotel, where we stay for 2 nights on bed & breakfast basis. We’ll meet our hosts and fellow travellers over welcome drinks later today. The following morning, we’ll enjoy a city tour to see some of Mumbai’s highlights, before free time and dinner together this evening.

This afternoon we fly from Mumbai to Ranchi, staying for 6 nights at the Le Lac Sarovar Hotel on bed & breakfast basis. Known as the land of waterfalls and lakes, Ranchi is located at a height of 2100 ft above sea level in the heart of the Chotanagpur tribal country.

Take your seats as the anticipated 4th Test takes place at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi. Roundtrip stadium transfers are included daily.

We fly today from Ranchi to Kolkata and transfer to the Oberoi Grand Hotel, where we stay for 2 nights on bed & breakfast basis. Formerly known as Calcutta, in 2001 the government of West Bengal decided to officially change its capital city's name to Kolkata to reflect its original Bengali pronunciation. We’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city during our stay.

After a walking tour this morning, we fly from Kolkata to Chandigargh, staying for 1 night at the Taj Hotel on bed & breakfast basis.

Today we drive from Chandigarh to Mashobra, near Shimla, staying for 3 nights at the Oberoi Wildflower Hall. We’ll have a day at leisure to relax in our surroundings, as well as taking a scenic train ride.

We fly from Shimla to Dharamshala this morning, transferring on to the Hyatt Regency, where we stay for 7 nights. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual centre here for Tibetan Buddhism. We’ll enjoy a guided tour during our stay.

The 5th and final Test takes place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, we hope for an exciting finale to this series.
