Black Opal are proud to offer a fantastic hosted tour to the follow England Men’s cricket team to India in 2024.
Hosted by Gladstone Small and the Black Opal team, we’ll attend lively cricket matches across the country, exploring some exciting new destinations together along our way. From the majestic Taj Mahal, to the magnificent landscapes of the Himalayas, we can curate your once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Our Tour:
Let us take care of all your travel arrangements and luxury accommodation, as well as exclusive extras. A hosted drinks reception will begin our tour in style in Hyderabad, whilst our ‘get together’ events mid-Test are a great way to reflect on the current play. There will also be some fantastic farewell dinner events, as we depart the host cities.
Our dedicated hosts will be present to offer a warm welcome and insight into the cricket as it unfolds, plus there will be ample opportunity to relax and explore on our sightseeing excursions. We can’t wait to see you in incredible India!

Overnight flight from London Heathrow to Hyderabad.
Should you wish to fly from a regional airport or upgrade your flights the Black Opal team will be delighted to discuss options with you.

On arrival in Hyderabad you will be met by a Black Opal representative who will assist you to your onward private transfer to the hotel, where we will stay for 8 nights. Enjoy welcome drinks with our group later today.

Take your seats as the anticipated 1st Test Match takes place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. Roundtrip transfers are included daily

Enjoy two days to explore the city of Hyderabad, known as The City of Pearls, as once it was the only global centre for trade of large diamonds, emeralds and natural pearls.

Today we transfer to the airport for our onward flight to Visakhapatnam (Vizag). On arrival we transfer to our hotel, where we stay for 6 nights. We'll get together for welcome drinks this evening.

Another exciting day of cricket, as the 2nd Test takes place at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vizag. Roundtrip transfers are included daily.

In the period between the 2nd and 3rd Tests we will be offering two hosted options to choose from. However if you would prefer to tour independently elsewhere in India the Black Opal team would be delighted to assist with arrangements.

Option 1 - Mysore, Chikmagalur & Hampi
07-09 February (Mysore)
We will fly to Bangalore and continue by road to Mysore where we will spend two nights exploring.
09-11 February (Chikmagalur)
We continue our journey by road to Chikmagalur for our next two nights. We will enjoy an afternoon visit of a local tea plantation and see some of the nearby temples.
11-13 February (Hampi)
We continue northwards to Hampi where we will spend the next two nights. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the stunning hotel where we will be staying.
13 February (Bangalore)
We'll fly to Bangalore on an afternoon flight for an overnight stay.
Following our morning at leisure in Bangalore, we will fly to Rajkot where we will meet back up with our fellow travellers.

Option 2 - The Golden Triangle
07-09 February (Delhi)
Today we fly to Delhi where we will spend 2-nights at the wonderful Imperial Hotel. During our time in Delhi we will enjoy sightseeing
09-10 February (Agra)
We will transfer by road to Agra where we will enjoy an afternoon visit to Agra Fort and morning sunrise visit to The Taj Mahal
10-12 February (Jaipur)
Our journey continues to Jaipur where we will visit the all the must sees of this historic city.
12-14 February (Udaipur)
We will fly to Udaipur where we will spend 2-nights exploring this fascinating city.
Following our stay here we will fly directly to Rajkot where we will meet back up with our fellow travellers and welcome new faces.

Our tour continues on to Ranchi for the 4th Test.
Also known as the land of waterfalls and lakes, Ranchi is located at a height of 2100 ft above sea level in the heart of the Chotanagpur tribal country.

The exciting 4th Test takes place at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

Option 1 - Calcutta & Shimla
28 February - 01 March (Calcutta)
Our exploration of India continues to Kolkata which many regard as the cultural capital of India. During our two night stay here our local guide take you to all the must see sights.
01-02 March (Chandigargh)
A morning flight northwards will bring us to Chandigarh for a 1-night stay.
02-05 March (Shimla)
After breakfast we will take a leisurely drive northwards to our home for the next 3-nights, the stunning Oberoi Wildflower Hall. During our time we will enjoy a tour of Shimla, or you can choose to relax at the hotel and enjoy the many activities available.

28-29 February (Delhi)
Today we fly to Delhi where we will enjoy an afternoon tour of Delhi
29 February - 01 March (Agra)
We will transfer by road to Agra where we will enjoy an afternoon tour of Agra Fort and a sunset tour of the Taj Mahal.
01-03 March (Jaipur)
Our journey continues to Jaipur where we will visit the all the must sees of this historic city.
03-05 March (Udaipur)
We will fly to Udaipur where we will spend 2-nights exploring this fascinating city.
05-06 March (Delhi)
We return to Delhi to spend a night before continuing onto Dharamashala
Following our stay here we will fly directly to Rajkot where we will meet back up with our fellow travellers and welcome new faces.

From Shimla we travel to Dharamashala for our final leg of the tour. With a backdrop of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to to the Dalai Lama and during our stay we will get to explore the area.

The 5th and final Test takes place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala
Roundtrip stadium transfers are included daily.

Following the conclusion of the Test Match we will fly to Delhi for an overnight stay before your flight home.
